Signature Wedding: Gabrielle Bologna and Daniel Mesen
June 9, 2018
“We chose the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum for our ceremony and Muriel’s in Jackson Square for our reception because both venues are a great mixture of traditional and eclectic, just like us,” explains Gabrielle. “The elegance of a courtyard ceremony set within the oddity of the museum was such a perfect harmony of our personalities. And, Muriel’s is so stylish, with an ambiance that is romantic and haunting. We’re both bookworms and loved the history behind our venue choices. The spaces were intimate enough to savor the little moments, but roomy enough for everyone to move around and enjoy themselves.”
Beyond the venues, Gabrielle says that one of the most important things for her was keeping the memory of her late father alive.
“I wore the moon pendant that my father gave my mom in the late ’70s when they were dating,” says Gabrielle. “He was a funny guy. When he gave it to her he said, ‘Baby, I hang the moon.’ I’ve always loved the story, but even more so the tangible reminder of the huge love my parents had for each other and the love Daniel and I share now.”
