But after dedicating seven years to Mingle right out of high school, Jene’ Langlois proudly stepped into the role of owner just over a year ago. Now, in this exciting new chapter of her life, Jene’ tells us about her journey and everything that makes her business special. What was your reason for joining Mingle? When did it open, and how has it grown or changed?

I always knew I wanted to be a business owner, and fashion has been a lifelong passion. My journey with Mingle started in 2016 when the store had already been operating for five years. I spent seven years under the guidance of Mingle’s founder, Alyse Boulanger, working my way up from sales associate to manager and eventually buyer.

In that time, we transitioned to a larger storefront with a warehouse, launched our website and created a mobile app. The most significant change I’ve witnessed is the rise of e-commerce, and I’m incredibly proud of how we’ve adapted. The future of retail is exciting, and I’m eager to continue evolving with the industry!

What sets Mingle apart?

Our customer service truly sets us apart. Whether you’re shopping in-store, chatting over text or DM or joining us for a live sale, we always strive to deliver a personal and top-notch experience. We’ve built a genuine community around Mingle—our customers aren’t just clients; they’re family to us.

What are some of your best-selling products?

Our best-sellers are everyday wardrobe staples that fit seamlessly into busy lives. Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom or a working professional, we have those versatile, go-to pieces you’ll reach for time and again.

Can you hint at what shoppers will see in your store next season?

While we’re in the holiday season right now, we’re also prepping for a vibrant spring. To kick off the warmer weather, expect a fresh range of Easter dresses, resort wear and swim pieces.

What is one thing customers should know about your store that they may not be aware of?

We release new arrivals twice a week through live sales on our website and app—every Wednesday at 8 p.m. and Friday at 10 a.m. It’s the best way to get first dibs on our latest pieces!

Why do you encourage customers to shop locally?

I recently came across a statistic that resonated with me. A dollar spent locally circulates seven times within the local economy. Since starting in this industry, I’ve come to appreciate the impact of shopping local. This holiday season, remember that by supporting small businesses, you’re directly uplifting your community.
