Paint the Town Red: Styles from St. Francisville seen in a new speakeasy
Past the pizza ovens of Big River Pizza Company and through an armoire that doubles as the speakeasy’s front door is St. Francisville’s newest nightlife spot, Proud Mary’s. Opened in April by Morgan and Lizzie Moss of Blue House Hospitality Group, the space prioritizes high design and attention to detail.
Make-your-own martinis and a host of craft cocktails fill the recently revamped menu. As for the eye-catching interiors, Lizzie took on the design job herself, drawing inspiration from her favorite spot in New Orleans, Bar Marilou.
The vibrant red walls, jewel-toned velvet furniture, animal print carpeting and fun artwork set a festive scene for this year’s holiday style shoot with model Holly Dorsett, featuring outfits from three of St. Francisville’s boutiques: Barlow, NK and Sage Hill.
