Room Tour: A pink nursery that sparks conversation
Who else is still in their Barbie era? We’re still loving the pink obsession, especially when it comes to interiors. While local designers like Rachel Cannon have been adding pops of pink to central living areas, there’s one room in particular that is typically doused in rosy hues: a baby girl’s nursery. Hattie Sparks Collins created this pinked-out nursery in an Old Metairie home. Adorned with flowers, bunnies and different shades of pink, the playful yet serene sanctuary is ideal for any little girl.
“We layered in different tones of pink because that’s the homeowner’s favorite color,” Collins says, “It’s a little girl’s room, and we wanted it to grow with her and not feel too childish as she moves through her tween and teen years.”
