This kitchen proves that two is better than one. Brandon and Ronyell Dodson, owners of AP Dodson Home Builders, tasked interior designer Kristina Petit with the open kitchen, keeping and dining areas for their residence built for their family of six. A pair of islands ensures that homework and meal prep can take place at the same time. Read more here.
As seen in Flower magazine’s Fall 2023 Designer Showhouse, known as the Ivy House, in Baton Rouge, Graci Interiors and Ivy Residential Concepts ensured every aspect of this kitchen sizzled, including the brass-accented L’Atelier Paris range. Building on a concept of light and dark, the hues and heavily veined marble countertops create a stunning scene. See the kitchen, breakfast nook, and butler’s pantry, which Chad Graci of Graci Interiors designed for the Ivy House here.
Hance Day Hughes, principal architect at TIEK BYDAY, designed this St. Francisville retreat for his parents, Lynette and Brett Hughes. Contrast takes center stage through a combination of rustic and modern elements, like the hand-hewn beams and 600-pound steel range hood. Read more about how Hance embraced metals and a taxidermy collection for this close-to-home project here.
Old is made new in Don and Susan Charlet’s French-inspired cottage in the heart of St. Francisville’s historic district. And the kitchen is no exception. The room’s design is centered around two pairs of tall glass-paned doors between 300 and 400 years old. Originally from a home in Paris, the doors are complete with their original French cremone bolts and glass. See more of the reclaimed and revitalized furnishings in their home here.
