We tried it: Simply Facials is anything but simple

There’s a lot of prep that goes into holiday pictures and parties. And if you want to put your best face forward, a high-quality facial is a must. So I headed to Simply Facials to see what the buzz is all about.

First, don’t let the name “Simply Facials” fool you. I opted for the Sculpt and Glow facial—an enhanced version of the signature facial—which was anything but simple. The team has streamlined the aesthetic process with an offering that combines several treatments into one easy session, making specialized skincare a lot less confusing. And for people like me, who are far from skincare experts, it’s a remedy that feels fabulous.

The hour-long pampering experience consisted of microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, lymphatic drainage, LED light therapy, a face mask, lip mask, a chemical peel and massage.

My facialist, Jocelyn Cazares, carefully guided me through each treatment, explaining what each tool and product was doing for my skin, and happily answered my never-ending skincare questions. Because the facial includes many advanced treatments, they require 30 days between bookings to allow your skin time to rejuvenate. You can request solo treatments, like my favorite, the lymphatic drainage, which instantly sculpts, giving a natural facelift.

I left Simply Facials with glowing skin and another appointment booked for next month. Over the days afterward, I have continued to see improvements in my complexion and texture—two of the biggest issues I’ve had with my skin. Thankfully, I’ve only experienced a little dryness from the chemical peel, which they forewarned me about and provided a moisturizer to combat.
