Continuing a yearly tradition, White Oak Plantation will play host to its annual Bridal Show from 1 to 4:30 p.m. next Sunday, Feb. 28. Featuring more than 30 wedding and bridal service providers plus a fashion show by Ashley Renee Bridal, each guest will enjoy Champagne from the “Bubbly Bar” and plenty of opportunities to taste Chef John Folse’s special wedding cuisine.

Folse has owned and operated the venue for 25 years, and it remains one of the most popular venues for weddings and special events in the city, making the Bridal Show a good opportunity to experience the plantation in person. Folse, too, has long made a name for himself as a local celebrity and internationally renowned chef and restaurateur, opening his first Lafitte’s Landing Restaurant in 1978. In other words, no wedding would suffer from a little inspiration gleaned from his ideas.
