Spanish Town watch party

Friends of the Capitol Park Museum are hosting a Spanish Town parade watch party Feb. 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum. Those who go will enjoy complimentary food and drinks, music, children’s activities, and a special viewing area to watch the parade. Purchase tickets here.

Opéra Louisiane Butterfly Ball

Opéra Louisiane will host the Butterfly Opera Ball Feb. 2 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the City Club to benefit its upcoming production of Madama Butterfly. Guests will enjoy cocktails and champagne in addition to food and dessert buffets. World-renowned artist Hunt Slonem has donated one of his original works of art, “Spice Bush Swallowtail,” a 16-by-20-inch oil on wood painting, for the night’s auction.
