Governor John Bel Edwards and first lady Donna Edwards hosted a reception honoring the 2017 queens and princesses who were soon to depart to represent Louisiana at the Mystick Krewe of Louisianians Mardi Gras Ball in Washington, D.C. Guests enjoyed breakfast, and Governor Edwards crowned this year’s ball queen Eastan Thomas.
