Now that spring has returned to the Capital City, LSU Hilltop Arboretum’s “Hodge Podge Nursery” is ready to celebrate with its popular Spring Fling Plant Sale this Saturday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

With a selective inventory ranging from sugar maples to trumpet lilies, the event intends to showcase plants perfect for banishing the winter blues from your garden, including a number of native varieties guaranteed to do well in our climate. Thanks to Hilltop’s “Podge Posse,” you’ll know exactly how to address any gardening needs. Shoppers will also enjoy free parking, valet toting of purchases, and guest plant vendors with interesting plant species of their own.

In addition, the arboretum will host a mini “Yarden” sale with gently used, shabby-chic gardening miscellanea.
