Boy Scouts’ Cooking for Character
The Boy Scouts of America Istrouma Area Council hosted Cooking for Character, a taste fair, auction and reception, at East Baton Rouge Parish Library‘s Goodwood location on Aug. 29. “Tastes” for the event were provided by a selection of local restaurants and caterers, as well several local Boy Scout troop leaders, who had a dutch oven dessert cookoff. The Chris LeBlanc Band serenaded attendees later in the evening. Proceeds from the night’s ticket sales and auction will be used to advance the Boy Scouts’ mission and provide area youths opportunities to join the Scouts.
