“We talked about getting married in Greece for many years. It was such a long time in the making that it felt like a fairy tale with it finally happened,” says Sarah. “The tradition in my husband’s village is for the bride to meet her groom in his village. When we arrived at the church, my parents walked me to my groom, who was waiting with my bouquet. I tried really hard in that moment to not cry and ruin my makeup.”

And, with over 180 international guests, Sarah and Ares brought together cultures to throw an all-night party for the ages.

“Our reception was on the side of a mountain where we danced under the stars and drank ouzo until six in the morning. It was incredibly special to us because so many people from the United States were there,” says Sarah. “Some of our guests stayed even after we left and danced until the sun came up!”
