Books to delight
LSU Press and The Southern Review are teaming up to toast the holiday season, and you’re invited! The Season’s Readings annual sale is slated for Nov. 21 from 5 until 7:30 p.m. at Circa 1857. Mingle with several notable Louisianans, including poet Ava Leavell Haymon, food historian Cindy LeJeune Nobles and photographer C.C. Lockwood, the works of whom will be on display and on sale. To top it off, Yvette Marie’s Café will offer delicious food and drinks, and band Minos the Saint will entertain the crowd. All LSU Press titles will be discounted, and complimentary gift wrapping is available on all purchases.
