BREC spreads Christmas cheer with “Caroling in City Park”
The word “carol” comes from the Old French carole, a circular medieval dance accompanied by joyous, festive singing—perfect, then, for the French culture and musical heritage of our own home state. Even with no snow on the ground or many coats to bundle up in the tolerable 60-degree cold, no holiday season would be complete without a Christmas carol or two, especially in the company of friends and neighbors. Thanks to BREC, Baton Rouge has it covered.
Join BREC at its annual Caroling in City Park tomorrow, Friday, December 9, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The evening will be filled with candlelight caroling, a park lighting ceremony and plenty of other family activities for all ages. For more information, contact 225-272-9200, ext. 362.
