Celebrate creative students at the LSU Art & Design Wild West print exhibition

Art enthusiasts, this one is for you. Join the LSU Art Guild in recognizing undergraduate student artists from across the country who participated in a themed print exchange.

Through a nationwide call, the LSU Art Guild had more than 20 students create an edition of sixteen prints for a Wild West-themed portfolio. In addition to creating prints, students each received a collection of fifteen prints from other student participants. All prints will be displayed at the Wild West exhibition through October 24.

“A print exchange or exchange portfolio is a long-held and important tradition in the printmaking community,” the LSU Art Guild wrote in a press release. “The practice allows students and professional artists alike the opportunity to respond to contemporary themes and prompts while participating in an exchange of ideas from artists in and outside their communities.”

The exhibition opened on October 3 and will remain on display through October 24. So, if you want to see this exhibition before it’s too late, visit Barnes Ogden Art & Design Complex Gallery on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. (excluding home game days).
