We hear it all the time: the importance of shopping local. The good news is it’s easier to do than ever in Baton Rouge, with so many great makers, artists and food businesses in our midst. And during the holiday season, when we’re constantly remembering someone else that needs a gift, those local businesses are there with just the right stocking stuffer or unique item to wrap up for them.

It’s been a tough year (or two) for many of us, and Christmas shopping is already daunting enough on its own.
